SANEWOPA brings together weekend farmers who are interested in sustainably growing their farming enterprise, offering them a platform through which they can:

1. Network and collaborate with other farmers.

2. Improve their knowledge and capacity in sustainable agripreneurship.

3. Be linked with private sector companies, government institutions, universities and non-profit organizations that seek to advance sustainable agripreneurship.

4. Add their voice to advocacy efforts in seeking greater inclusion of weekend farmers in agriculture development programs.

5. Proactively engage in career transition planning in preparation for retirement.

Becoming a member of SANEWOPA as a weekend farmer is easy, all you need to do is fill out an online application form.

After submitting your application form, a member of the SANEWOPA team will reach out to you to help you with onboarding so you can participate in SANEWOPA activities and start reaping the benefits of joining the network.

Beyond bringing together weekend farmers, SANEWOPA seeks to partner with stakeholders committed to fostering inclusion of weekend farmers in agriculture development and enhancing adoption of sustainable agripreneurship among weekend farmers as a critical pathway towards successful agriculture commercialization in Malawi.

Corporate partners include government agencies, private sector companies, non-governmental organizations, donors, research and academic institutions.

As a corporate partner, stakeholders get an opportunity to engage collectively with weekend farmers and to work with SANEWOPA to tailor their offerings to this unique, yet often overlooked and underserved, segment of Malawi’s farming community.

Corporate partners engage with SANEWOPA through various mechanisms such as signing a memorandum of understanding to collaborate in specific areas, sponsoring SANEWOPA activities and events and constracting for consultancy services among other ways.

Corporate partners are listed on SANEWOPA’s website and can participate in SANEWOPA annual general meeting as observers.
